What do we do?

Primarily- hold an annual educational conference​ worth 10 CMEs.

We are actively trying to branch into other things, such as sharing open job opportunities, and building a stronger network across NC and surrounding areas. We are open to ideas re: new ways we can accomplish this, and how to better serve our community of vascular professionals.

What is the annual conference?
-
10 CMEs- full day Saturday + half day Sunday. Partial CME option to attend only one day.

Listen to interesting, engaging lectures from industry leaders.

Participate in panel discussions with speakers.

Time to visit vendors, learn more about your current equipment, or get more information about different equipment.

Networking! There is downtime at various points in the conference- great for catching up with old colleagues, being introduced to new peers, and picking the brains of speakers, vendors, and other attendees!

Where is the conference?

Typically, it is held in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina.​

When would I receive my CME certificate?

At the conclusion of the conference, you will receive a paper copy of your CME certificate.​

​Is there an option to attend the conference virtually?

No, our conference is in-person only.

Is the NCVT only for residents of North Carolina?
-
No! We have many attendees every year who visit us from Virginia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. We are happy to have our neighbors from surrounding areas join us.​

Are there annual dues to become a member?
-
No- we do not have an official "membership." Our conference, and any other benefits of our organization, are open to anyone who wishes to participate. ​

Are board positions only for residents of North Carolina?

No! We have had board members serve from outside of North Carolina.​​​​​​​​​​

Are board members compensated?
- No. Board members volunteer their time without monetary compensation.

- What are the perks of being a board member?
- President receives a $1000 stipend to attend the annual SVU conference (President is personally responsible for any additional costs incurred).
- All board members:
- FREE tuition for NCVT conference (10 free CMEs)
- FREE two-night hotel stay for NCVT conference
- Attend Speaker Dinner Saturday night of conference (free)​
- Build stronger relationships within the vascular community
- Potential to apply board position to tier requirements for career ladder
- You get to have a say in what the conference looks like!

- Is it difficult to be on the board?​
- No! We have a robust community of past board members who are always willing to help when they can! Whether it's needing ideas, help finding speakers, or help with logistics- there is always someone to ask, or get support from.
